This Privacy Policy describes how the AnglerLog mobile application (“App”), developed by Güvenç Terzierol, handles your data. By using the App, you agree to the terms of this policy.

AnglerLog operates on a privacy-first, local-storage model. We do not collect, store, or transmit any user data or content to our servers.

1. Data We Access and Use (Local Processing Only)

The App does not collect or store any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) such as your name, email, phone number, or contact details.

a. Location Data (Non-Persistent)

The App requests access to your device's location for two core functionalities:

• To retrieve current, real-time weather data for your local area via the Apple WeatherKit API.
• To capture and suggest the geographical coordinates (latitude and longitude) of your fishing catches for local storage.

This data is:

• Used on-demand and is not persistently stored or tracked by us.
• Never transmitted to our developer servers.
• When accessing WeatherKit, the data processing is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.

b. Photos and Media (User-Generated Content - UGC)

The App requests access to your photo library to allow you to select and save images related to your fishing records.

• These photos, along with their associated EXIF data (which may include location), are stored exclusively locally on your device.
• You retain full control and ownership of this content.

2. Data Storage and Security

• Local Storage: All User Content (catch logs, photos, location coordinates, dates) is saved only on your device.
• No Backend Servers: We do not utilize any backend or cloud servers to store or process user data.
• Data Security: Data security relies entirely on the security and protection mechanisms of your personal device (e.g., device passcode, encryption).

3. Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, rent, or disclose any of your data or User Content to any third party for advertising, analytics, or profiling purposes.

• Third-Party Services: We interact only with the Apple WeatherKit API to provide the weather function. This interaction is governed by Apple's policies.

4. User Controls and Rights

Since all your data and content are stored locally on your device, you maintain full control over them:

• You may revoke access to location services and photos at any time via your device settings.
• You may manage or delete your catch logs and associated photos directly through the AnglerLog App or your device’s file system.

5. Children's Privacy

The AnglerLog App is not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any Personal Data from children under 13, as all data is stored locally. If you believe a child has submitted data, please contact us immediately to facilitate removal (though removal would be done by deleting the app or the local data on the device).

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy periodically. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date." Your continued use of the App constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
